It's My Birthday...For A Change


Today is my 34th birthday.

It's scary to think how old I would seem to an 18-year-old!

But...as far as I am concerned...I'm just STARTING!

So many things have changed in my life over the last few years that I dread to think how bored, depressed, under-valued, and under-appreciated I would feel if my life hadn't apparently taken a 'turn for the worst'.

On my birthday six years ago...I was just a supervisor in a bank...wishing that I could do more with my life.

Then Connor came along and my life changed forever.

On my birthday four years ago...Connor made one of his very few 'public outings' at my surprise 30th birthday dinner arranged by Lesley.

Little did we know how much more difficult and frightening our life would become.

On my birthday two years ago I had just quit my job a week earlier...without a clue of how I would earn a living.

One thing that I have realized...

Is that your life ONLY changes when YOU start pushing out your boundaries.

Don't wait until another brithday (and another...and another) passes you by before you realize that YOUR life CAN change.

But...do you REALLY want it to bad enough to do something about it?
