One Hospital Visit...Two Interesting People


I came across two interesting characters in the hospital today...

The first was the nurse who was looking after Connor.

She told me that she was only covering the other nurses as she was on a break from university. Althought she had been a nurse...her real love was physiotherapy...and so she decided to take the 'stop' in salary, and go back to university to pursue her dream of doing something she really loved to do.

Now...do you think that she is following her heart or her wallet? And do you think that she will be happier in the long run because of it? You betcha!

One of the doctors also said something that interested me today.

A young (and eager) man...he is quite a pleasant chap as doctors go.

I was having a joke with him about him being under pressure to get a IV line (via injection) into Connor because I was watching.

He said that he didn't feel pressure...ever? "Why?" I asked him.

"I don't feel under any pressure when someone is watching me because, I know that as long as I do my best...I haven't got anything to worry about!"

What a fantastic attitude that is to have, don't you think?

So...two people in one day have shown me that they are 'in control' to some degree in their lives...and were making something of themselves at the same time!
